Inspiration

We found that the search for adequate health care is difficult. Despite there being new apps on the market and insurance websites, it’s still difficult to navigate the search for a provider. We want to empower women and provide them with the autonomy and authority over their healthcare search.

What it does

HeraHealth Network is a dedicated application to help women, find optimal health care within their area. They are able to finetune their search to find inclusive and available providers best suitable to their needs. The dedicated chatbox feature helps guide the conversation to gather the necessary information required to generate the most accurate results.

How we built it

We began with the UI design and user logic flows. This served as the foundation to how we will want to configure the code on the backend. Having an understanding on the look, feel and operation of the application made it easier for us to tailor the databases leveraged and coding logic used to power the app.

Challenges we ran into

With only two weeks to piece together this application, we only have a beta model of the application. The features that we wanted to add on would take too much time to develop. We also ran into trouble with configuring the AI data models. Training the model to be accurate and non-bias is a real-world issue that can be time consuming and difficult to remedy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to come up with an idea for a real world problem and created a solution end-to-end. The team has varying backgrounds and we were still able to leverage each others skills and strengths to complete this project seamlessly.

What we learned

We learned the development cycle from a hands-on approach. Understanding the way applications are developed from an organizational standpoint through projects and then applying the technical components are not always the easiest. Through clear communication, we were able to iron out any issues that we found along the way.

What's next for HeraHealth Network

HeraHealth Network has alot of amazing new features that will be released soon. Clients will have more search criteria available to them. The application will launch a new responsive website to aid those who are web accessible.
