Inspiration

The inspiration behind Hera Health came from recognizing the challenges many individuals face in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. With busy schedules and overwhelming information, it can be difficult to stay motivated and track health goals effectively. I wanted to create a solution that empowers users to take charge of their well-being in a simple and yet engaging way

What it does

Hera Health serves as a personal health companion that allows users to track key health metrics such as steps, water intake, sleep duration, and mood. The app provides personalized recommendations based on user data, encourages participation in weekly challenges, and it includes a journaling feature to reflect on daily experiences.

How we built it

The project was developed using HTML, CSS3, and JavaScript. My main focus was on creating a responsive design to ensure a seamless experience across devices. The user interface was designed to be intuitive, allowing users to easily navigate and access their health data.

Challenges we ran into

One of the major challenges was ensuring the app was responsive and user-friendly. Balancing functionality with a clean design took several multiple iterations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of the robust features we implemented, especially the AI-powered recommendations and the journaling feature that encourages self-reflection. And also being able to successfully create a responsive design that works well on both desktop and mobile devices was another significant milestone.

What we learned

Throughout the development process, I learned the importance of user feedback in shaping the website's features. I also gained valuable experience in frontend development and improved my skills in JavaScript.

What's next for Hera Health

Moving forward, I plan to enhance the website by incorporating community features that allow users to share their progress and challenges. Additionally, integrating more advanced AI capabilities to provide deeper insights into user health data would go a long way. I hope to also work on a mobile application as well as improve other features on the app.
