Inspiration

Pregnancy is one of the most transformative experiences in a woman’s life — yet it can also be overwhelming. We noticed many women struggle to manage appointments, track their vitals, and communicate symptoms effectively with their doctors. We wanted to create something that makes women feel cared for, organized, and empowered through every stage of their pregnancy.

What it does

HERA (Health Evaluation & Reproductive Assistant) is a pregnancy wellness app that helps expectant mothers track their vitals, log symptoms, organize notes for doctor visits, and stay emotionally supported. It gamifies healthy habits with rewards, offers week-by-week pregnancy progress, and provides gentle reminders to make self-care easy and consistent.

How we built it

Figma for our user interface design. Playground for our AI Chatbot. We focused on clean, calming visuals in soft pinks and greens to create a comforting and feminine atmosphere. Our backend supports real-time updates for vital tracking and note syncing.

Challenges we ran into

• Integrating health data tracking while keeping the app simple and intuitive.
• Balancing features between practicality (doctor notes, vitals) and emotional support (affirmations, rewards). Making the app colors readable
• Managing team collaboration and merging design with code efficiently under time constraints.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a cohesive, functional prototype that blends health and emotional wellness. • Designing a modern, inclusive brand with our HERA logo and UI. • Building an app that could genuinely improve pregnancy experiences for women worldwide.

What we learned

Strong teamwork, rapid prototyping, and communication are key in hackathon environments.

What's next for HERA - Health Evaluation & Reproductive Assistant

Integrate AI-powered health insights for personalized pregnancy guidance. • Add wearable device compatibility for real-time vitals tracking. • Partner with maternal health organizations and maternity brands for rewards and educational content.
