Inspiration
Our inspiration for this project was our love for chickens and tackling the challenge of eggflation, which is the rise of egg prices due to egg shortages and diseases affecting henhouses.

Our application uses a pre-trained computer vision model to identify healthy and unhealthy chickens in photos

This is our first hackathon project and we are proud of working as a team and staying motivated throughout the short deadline. All of us learned from each other, sharing front end and back end knowledge to create HenSense.

What's next for HenSense
We would like to finish implementing the front end and connecting it to our back end and model. If we could take this further, we would like to create and train our own model and eventually extend the function of HenSense to live video feed in henhouses.
