Inspiration
We were inspired by the urgent struggles faced by Thalassemia patients in India especially how challenging it is for them to find compatible blood donors regularly and manage their lifelong treatment. Thousands of children are born every year without enough medical support or awareness about the disease. We wanted to create a solution that not only connects patients with donors in real-time but also uses modern AI technologies to predict donor availability and encourage ongoing participation. The determination of organizations like Blood Warriors to help these patients fueled our passion to build a truly meaningful platform.
What it does
HemoHope AI is a smart platform that connects Thalassemia patients with compatible blood donors instantly based on blood type, location, and urgency. It leverages AI to predict when donors are likely to be available, so it can proactively notify potential donors and reduce delays in transfusions. Donors get recognized and rewarded for their contributions through gamification elements, keeping them engaged and motivated to donate regularly. The app also facilitates better communication between patients and healthcare providers, offers educational resources for managing Thalassemia, and ensures patient and donor data are kept secure. Plus, it integrates with existing systems like e-RaktKosh to create a seamless ecosystem for blood donation management.
