Description

Helpr is a lifestyle app that allows users anywhere to easily get involved in their community or receive support from non-profit organizations around them. Whether you’re interested in on-site or virtual volunteering, Helpr can find you opportunities that would normally be scattered and overlooked so that they’re more accessible and recognized in your local community. If in need of specific resources, Helpr can find exactly what you're looking for, whether it be certain charity events in your area or safe spaces that cater to your needs. Helpr is unique in that it adds a social aspect to finding volunteering opportunities: users can see what their friends are interested in or are participating in and can easily share resources and opportunities with each other. With Helpr, we can all better engage and unite our local communities one opportunity at a time.

Notes for this prototype:

• Sign Up Interactions end at account creation. It will lead to the same screen assuming the user has logged in initially as an individual user (not a business).

• Only the first event listed in “On-Site” opportunities is available (Food Pantry Giveaway)

• Only “Yolo Food Bank” organization page is available

• Users may only mark “Interested” or click “share” on event page

• Users may only choose the “Basic Needs” Filter on search functionality
