Inspiration
We wanted to combine all of our skills between hardware and software engineering.
What it does
It's a web app where people collaborate to guide a robot home, while giving a live feed to its audience.
How we built it
We used a raspberry pi for its wifi capabilities and GPIO/PWM outputs. We also used an H-bridge, wheeled robot chassis and motors to build the enclosure. In addition, we used a camera to give the audience a live feed of where the robot is heading.
Challenges we ran into
- Learning ReactJS
- Internet issues (WPA Enterprise on RPI)
- Fighting with CSS
- Buggy motor controller
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-Learned a lot! -Finished a product!
What we learned
-ReactJS -NodeJS -Python
What's next for HelpMeGetHome.live
-Desert!!! -Solar panel on top!!! -Cellular module!!!
