Inspiration
As a teen, being independent is hard. Skills such as cooking, tying knots, and sewing clothes are crucial to avoid reliance on others, but they aren’t always something you learn by watching a youtube video or two.
Muscle memory skills like these need to be trained through doing, not listening, and teens need more than verbal instructions: they need Helping Hand.
What it does
High Fidelity Computer Vision Analysis: Marking keypoints on the hand such as fingertips, knuckles and wrist.
Hand Position Detection: When the position of the user's hand matches up with the desired position, move onto the next position or end the map.
Map Format: Custom map format for simple and organized map storage.
Built In Map Creation: For scalability and user enjoyment.
How we built it
Graphics: PyGame and Open Computer Vision
Challenges we ran into
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Setting up a fast, precise computer vision model in a short time and making a fun and scalable game/tool; not all projects need to be money managers or AI resume builders...
Making a cool UI for the main menu with Delaunay Triangulation
What we learned
How to build a fun, interactive project with computer vision
What's next for Helping Hand
Large scale deployment as a IOS/Android application
