Inspiration

Struggling in classes because it's difficult to get the help you need with a busy schedule. There is also no organized place online where we can go to get homework help, as group chats are hectic.

What it does

Allows students to get the help they need online outside of school, on an organized, school-friendly environment.

How we built it

We planned out with drawing all the pages we wanted to complete and how they would connect to each other. From there, we used a lot of online tutorials to figure out how to code in Android Studio.

Challenges we ran into

We were all new to Android Studio, so we did as much as we could with the massive learning curve we ran into. As well as this, the ideas we came up with conflicted sometimes, but we resolved these conflicts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We completed everything that we planned to do, and while the app was a pretty rough layout of what we plan for it to be, we did finish everything we had planned. We're very proud of this as we all came in clueless towards Android Studio. We also managed to work really well together and plan everything out well.

What we learned

We learned a wide array of concepts which we used in Android Studio, as well as how to effectively plan out and follow a plan when doing a project. We also learned what requirements were, and this came to be very helpful as we created the app.

What's next for Helperoo

We shall implement a database, which will allow a log in system, clean up the overall appearance, and make it possible to upload assignments and homework help.
