Inspiration

We wanted to help more individuals who are suffering from mental stress at a lower cost, as well as communicate with and obtain advise from those who have already been through it.

What it does

There will be two registration and login interfaces each: one for the advice seeking side (user) and the other for the advice delivering side (volunteer). The user must register using their email addresses, but their name and any other information will be kept strictly personal and will not be shared with anybody. The volunteer, on the other hand, will be required to fill out a form with his or her personal information, as well as the mental health issues that he or she has confronted and conquered. To converse, the user can use any name he or she wants (except for any explicit content). They can also opt to remain anonymous. The user will then be offered an option of what type of problem he or she is experiencing, along with an explanation, so that they can fully comprehend if that decision is the best one. Following that, they will be immediately paired with a volunteer who has previously gone through it and recovered from it. A bot will continually read the conversation and recognise any improper or harmful phrases or words that violate the privacy rules, censoring such terms and raising a red alert. If a chat has a particular number of red flags, a team will work together to stop the session. After that, it will be investigated, and if the user is at fault, he or she will be given a warning before being completely banned if the same thing happens again, whereas if the volunteer is at fault, he or she will have to go through a one-on-one interrogation with the moderators, who will further judge his or her activities and take the necessary actions.
