Inspiration for the idea came from conversation about how during the pandemic people feel so isolated and it is a was to connect with other people even during these challenging times.HelpBay as an application serves primarily as a platform for verified users from a worldwide audience to engage in reciprocal actions known as “favors”. These favors serve to foster camaraderie on a global level. To lower the barrier of entry, all “favors” done on the platform are free, and are done for an action of equivalent value for the participant. We used a series of different graphic apps such as canvas and adobe to create our images and HTML script to write the code for our prototype. Some challenges that we ran into while doing this project was how in the beginning none of us really had any prior coding experience so we all had to learn to step out of our comfort zones and try new things .We are proud of how a group of beginners was able to come together and teach each other new skill to end up with one project we are all proud of. Our group has learned that even if you are a beginner to not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. We Plan Broadening our audience beyond just university students to the general public and hopeful use the apps currency system to end up donating money to non-profits and charities
