INSPIRATION

help4immigrants.org: -- Undocumented Immigrants are not included in the federal financial distribution structure. Also, immigrants are under constant threats of deportation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Hence, we are fostering an advocacy platform that focused on supporting undocumented immigrants when they are facing a major crisis – like Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

WHAT IT DOES

The app is a tool to empower, advocate, and engage in social justice protocols through resource distribution and communication management for undocumented immigrants when they are facing significant risks.

HOW WE BUILT IT

Compassion and empathic UX/UI, WordPress, html, CSS. Amazon, Amazon Web Services, PHP and MySQL.

CHALLENGES WE RAN INTO

Verifying and validating actual resources when agencies, mired in financial a strain, are willing to provide support and assistance to undocumented immigrants when they do not qualify for federally funded programs and services.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS THAT WE'RE PROUD OF

Identifying, validating and providing a much-needed resource to an unmet need during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic

WHAT WE LEARNED

A much more in-depth understanding of the daily challenges and struggles that undocumented immigrants face during a massive crisis that extends beyond their communities.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR HELP4IMMIGRANTS

To continue pushing this project forward as undocumented immigrants are struggling to meet their daily basic needs during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. As society recovers from Covid-19 and society return to normalcy, we intend to continue to grow this project to provide access and support for undocumented immigrants.
