Help Mother Earth

Inspiration

I love being in nature, but knowing that our planet is getting worse every year saddens me deeply. Scientists say that the major factor of climate change is human related causes. So, I wanted to take this opportunity to inform my community and change our bad habits by creating an app that can motivate us do that.

What it does

First, "Help Mother Earth" educates ourselves about the evidences, causes, and effects of Climate Change in our lives. Then, it motivates people from every age to make new habits by giving the users challenges. The user will earn points for actions they have completed. Every year we have a "Awesome Person of the Year" award. The winner of the award will be honored by influential people, and they will be recognized in their community which attracts many users that ultimately enables our organization to pay for itself.

Challenges we ran into

At first, it was really hard for me to start the design process because this is not what I have used to do. However, after some hours, I became very proficient with designing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the concept and suitability of my application in the real world. Also, I have done a good job in designing.

What we learned

I learned that once you start doing something, you have almost completed half of that job. I couldn't have imaged making this app if I didn't attend this competition
