Inspiration
Akhil has a senior-citizen neighbor in pain, but she did not understand what was happening to her, and she was not well enough to drive to the doctor. So, we decided to create an app that allowed people like her to talk to a medical professional, and potentially get a diagnosis, right at home.
What it does
Help Me! is an all-in-one app for emergencies, and it currently has four options for the user: creating and sending a pain report to a medical professional, calling 9-1-1, sending an ambulance to the user's current location, and sending an ambulance to the user's address.
How we built it
Aryan made a 200-line Python program that accomplishes the fundamentals for our app.
Challenges we ran into
Everybody in our group had out-of-school commitments, such as robotics, family plans, and even homework in general. This made it difficult for us to have time to work together on this.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made a working Python program as well as a good app concept.
What we learned
We learned to not procrastinate since we had lots of work that we ended up saving for the last minute.
What's next for Help Me!
The next step for Help Me! is making each of the functions do their intended action as well as adding more features for the user.
