Inspiration

In a moment of crisis, the first step should be clear and free. Help Hub is a calm UK-focused signposting tool for people who need support quickly, without turning urgent help into a paywall.

What it does

Help Hub brings trusted UK crisis and support routes into one simple place. It points people to appropriate helplines and reminds people to call 999 when there is immediate danger. It is a signposting tool, not a therapist, a diagnosis service, or a replacement for professional care.

The free tier never locks crisis paths. Everyone can reach the essential support information when they need it. Optional Pro, powered by RevenueCat, adds practical features such as personal notes and support packs for people who want a more tailored way to prepare and keep useful information together.

How it was built

We designed the experience around speed, clarity, and low cognitive load: direct routes, plain language, and prominent emergency guidance. The app keeps urgent signposting available in the free experience while RevenueCat handles the optional Pro entitlement.

What we learned

Safety-critical signposting needs a different product mindset from ordinary feature gating. The most important path must stay visible and usable for everyone, while paid features remain clearly optional. Help Hub is built to support the first step toward help, not to pretend to replace it.
