Help Farmers Save Agriculture

Inspiration

I was inspired by the recent events of Tsunami and flood in few states of India. People die due to heavy flood, the crops get destroyed, many farmers loose everything and they commit suicide.

What it does

It is a ML model which is trained on various ML models to predicts the possibility of rainfall on a particular day.

How we built it

We used various ML models to finish this project and to test which model was best suited. The models that we built were Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Neural Network, Random Forest, Light GBM, CatBoost and XGBoost

Challenges we ran into

Challenges were pretty real, it was my very first time working with so many models at once. I had to do a lot of research. Finding the weights with which the model worked better was really tough then training the model.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of what I have accomplished, I love how XGboost and Catboost model behaved so efficiently since it was my first time working with it

What's next for Help Farmers Save Agriculture

The model can be further made better to predict the weather of whole month or year. It can be used by governments to support farmers and help them.
