Hello! Hello! Uncle Malarkey?

Inspiration

Project arose due to family questions about covid 19

What it does it shows kids in this time - somewhat knowledgeable, but also not fully aware of what it is

How I built it - I proposed the work to my two sisters. One is a painter and the other works with design and advertizing. I drafted the story, based on a couple of characters that I had built other stories around. I sent it to my sister, who did sketches and studies until we had images galore. We sent it to my other sister who (with her husband) worked out the continuity and look. We each redrafted as we went along.

Challenges I ran into - Revising the story until it fit into sync with the images. From my sister's perspective, figuring how not to do deep portraits.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of - The story turned out well and we were able to complete it as a family project.

What I learned - No matter what your skill level or knowledge base, you always find challenges to overcome..

What's next for Hello! Hello! Uncle Malarkey? Hopefully publication. Or at the least the template for other stories that are in various stages of production.
