About the Project

Inspiration

This trailer was inspired by the anime and manga I grew up watching, combined with the explosive, stylized action cartoons of the 90s. I wanted to capture that blend of intensity, attitude, and over-the-top energy-this time through the lens of modern AI tools.

What It Does

Hell/Angel is a high-octane animated trailer that introduces Claire, a fallen angel on the run with a rogue biker from a notorious motorcycle club. Together they tear through Earth, Heaven, and Hell in a supernatural chase filled with danger, betrayal, and firepower.
It’s a proof-of-concept teaser that showcases how AI can help bring traditional anime vibes into a new creative format.

How We Built It

I began by writing the script and then sketching out a rough storyboard using images generated in Midjourney.
From there, I brought the frames to life through a mix of AI animation tools, including WAN, KLING, Midjourney Video, and VEO 3.

One of my favorite parts of anime has always been character voices, so I designed unique vocal identities for each character—giving them personality, presence, and emotional weight.
I also added large-scale visual effects using Higgsfield, created the opening and closing title cards with Ideogram, built the soundtrack in Suno, and assembled everything in CapCut.

Challenges We Ran Into

This was my first AI-powered production ever, so everything felt like a challenge—learning tools, managing pipelines, shaping visuals, and keeping consistency.
But the biggest challenge was weaving all these different AI systems into one coherent anime-style trailer without losing the spirit of the genre.

Accomplishments That We're Proud Of

Honestly, completing this trailer at all is something I’m incredibly proud of.
It’s my first fully AI-driven project, and despite the hurdles, the final result feels fast, energetic, stylish, and true to the vibe I wanted.

What We Learned

I learned that AI filmmaking is both demanding and unbelievably fun.
It requires patience, iteration, and tons of experimentation—but the creative freedom is enormous.
Every tool adds a different layer of possibility.

What's Next for Hell/Angel

With enough interest, I’d love to expand this into a full-length film.
So far, plenty of people have been asking to see more—so who knows?
This trailer might just be the first step toward a much bigger world.
