My journey learning Chinese became the reason for creating Helios. I found myself juggling 3-4 different tools simultaneously just to achieve basic language immersion. The existing solutions were expensive with slow development cycles and were tailored toward Japanese learners. Frustrated by this lack of a cohesion and affordable solutions, I decided to build my own comprehensive language learning tool that would eliminate the need for multiple tools and scattered workflows.

Helios is an all-in-one language immersion browser extension that transforms any webpage or video into an interactive learning environment. It provides: Instant Popup Dictionary: Hover over any word to get immediate translations, definitions, and contextual usage Frequency-Based Learning: Words are ranked by frequency (#1-50,000+) to help learners prioritize high-impact vocabulary Intelligent Word Tracking: Automatically tracks known vs unknown words across all browsing sessions Real-time Comprehension Analysis: Displays percentage understanding of any webpage or video content Seamless Anki Integration: One-click flashcard creation with context, frequency data, and spaced repetition

The tool creates a personalized learning bubble around users, allowing them to consume authentic content at their level while systematically building vocabulary.
