Inspiration
Men's mental health often goes overlooked. We wanted to build a safe, stigma-free space where men can easily reach out to professional therapists.
What it does
HeHaven is a therapist appointment platform focused on men's mental health. Users can fill out a form to book therapy sessions directly.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript for the frontend. Firebase Firestore handles appointment data. The site is deployed on Vercel.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating Firebase securely and handling Firestore permissions properly took some debugging. We also faced routing issues on Vercel.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully built and deployed a clean, fully functional platform with a working appointment booking system.
What we learned
We gained experience with Firestore rules, modular JS architecture, and Vercel deployment quirks for static sites.
What's next for HeHaven
We plan to add authentication, therapist dashboards, session reminders, and expand to mobile responsiveness with user feedback.
