Inspiration
A lot of cities in Africa have seen rapid economic growth due to urbanisation, but the issue of low standard of living and environmental problems are being faced by its citizens. Taking a close look at the areas people end up settling in due to outrageous housing cost, we realised the major cause of the underlying issues they faced was deeply rooted in the poor waste management system. Our goal is to introduce a model that helps to create an improved waste management system, in turn mitigating the underlying issues, and providing a source of income for the residents. Which Jointly contributes to a developed society.
What it does
This model is a user-friendly, efficient system that collects plastic waste, weighs it, and rewards users for their contribution to recycling effort.
How we built it
We built this model using AutoCAD design and we used arduino kit and multsim NI for the electrical features of the model
Challenges we ran into
Sponsorship to build a working prototype Forming a working partnership with an active waste recycling company
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Developing a sound hypothetical solution to waste problem in the world
