Managing worker health and safety risks during extreme heat is challenging for outdoor labor-intensive companies. This is due to the uncertain, dynamic nature of extreme heat, which requires proactive planning and up to date information. Existing data sources are too fragmented and general for practical use by businesses operating many sites across a city. We propose an interactive, real-time dashboard & planning tool for businesses to manage the risk of extreme heat events across many work sites. It will quantifies heat risk into a single actionable score, provide dynamic forecasts, present evidence-based strategies, and ultimately enable tracking & efficient planning of resources.
