In order to drive decarbonization, the industry needs to enable the conversion of building heating to electricity One of the challenges that comes with the insertion of renewable energy into the grid is little visibility to upcoming voltage fluctuations and load.
To solve this problem we built an analytical insight engine to enable utilities owners to have increased visibility into grid operations. The analytics contain both historical data regarding past trends for energy consumption based on weather, location and user comfort, as well as forward looking insights into what to expect over the next 5 days in terms of energy consumption.
The solution consists of a forecasting model to predict the energy consumption based on upcoming weather patterns, and is built on predix using the analytics framework.
Going forward, we hope to enhance the analytic engine in terms of insights provided and predictive power.
