Inspiration

I was inspired by the idea of using AI to make healthcare more accessible in World. Many people struggle to get timely medical insights, so I wanted to create a solution that helps detect heart disease early using AI.

What it does

HeartCare AI is an intelligent health prediction system that analyzes key medical parameters such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and heart rate to detect the likelihood of heart disease. It uses a trained machine learning model to provide quick, reliable predictions — helping users and healthcare professionals take early preventive actions. The system is simple, fast, and accessible through a web interface deployed on Hugging Face, making it usable for anyone, anywhere.

How I built it

I collected a heart disease dataset, trained a classification model using scikit-learn, and saved it as a .pkl file. Then, I created an interactive interface where users can input health parameters and instantly get predictions. Finally, I deployed the app on Hugging Face for public access.

Challenges I ran into

The main challenges were dataset imbalance, optimizing the model’s accuracy, and handling deployment issues. Uploading large files and managing environment dependencies also took time, but I learned how to fix them effectively.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We’re proud to have built a complete AI-powered solution from data preprocessing to public deployment — all from scratch. Achieving high accuracy, successfully deploying it on Hugging Face, and making it accessible to non-technical users are our biggest milestones. Most importantly, I proud that our project will contributes to saving lives by making heart health awareness more accessible through AI innovation.

What we learned

Throughout the project, I learned that when you are making something really great it gives you energy automatically that led to complete it also i learned how to clean and preprocess medical data, train and evaluate machine learning models, and deploy them using tools like Vue and Hugging Face. I also improved my understanding of model performance metrics like precision, recall, and F1-score.

What's next for HeartCare AI

In the future, I aim to evolve HeartCare AI into a full-scale digital health assistant. The next version will include real-time patient monitoring, integration with wearable devices, and AI-driven health recommendations. We also plan to add multilingual support and make it available offline for remote areas in Pakistan, ensuring that no one is left behind when it comes to early heart care.
