Inspiration
With the staggering amount of deaths that arise from heart-related complications, we wanted to make a mock-up/ project that will allow doctors to inform patients of their risk of suffering a heart attack in advance, preventing further difficulties later on.
What it does
The app’s main purpose is for healthcare professionals to keep track of their patients’ health. Specifically, using the medical information of each patient, the app can give an estimated prediction of risks of conditions such as heart attack. In addition to this, healthcare professionals can communicate with their patients via the app for quick and easy communication.
How we built it
We created the mock-up of Heart Homie on Canva and created the machine learning program using Python and Visual Studio Code.
Challenges we ran into
A main challenge that we ran into was actually thinking of an idea of what our project would be about. With the prompt being extremely broad and vague, it really made us think about a significant problem in the world.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of the video, mock-up design, and the name of our project.
What we learned
We learned that it is very important to focus on who our audience is and the small details that could improve our project.
What's next for Heart Homie
We would like to create a dark mode option in the future.
