Being a percussionist, it is not always appropriate to practice with loud instruments and loud conventional metronomes. Additionally, musicians with impaired hearing may not always be able to rely on audible time-keeping.
With this in mind, I created the Hearing-Impaired Metronome. Using serial input, the metronome flashes at a given tempo for a given time signature, keeping track of downbeats, for effective musical practice.
