What it does

The app will tell you what you need to do pre and post surgery depending on what kind you had done. It allows you to schedule a date for when you want your surgery to occur and lets you know how many days you have leading up to it. There’s a place where you can journal down notes. There’s another tab for operation information where it shows the guidelines that need to be followed of pre and post operation.

How we built it

React Native, ExpoGo, and JavaScript

Challenges we ran into

We had issues with the pictures popping up in the app, working in a live share and not being able to test things at the same time, and when the ExpoGo didn’t work in the beginning.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Designing the logo, getting the pictures to change, making it look more visually appealing, the countdown timer, and picking the date for when you’d like to schedule surgery.

What we learned

We learned more about React Native and app development as a whole.

What's next for HealWell

We want to add a 3D body map to mark symptoms on the body with an intensity slider, add in video calls with health providers that automatically take notes, and private messaging with your health provider about symptoms and needed guidance.
