Inspiration

My inspiration came from when I saw how women from rural parts of Kenya are dying due to childbirth and how some of them have to go through so much pain to travel to counties like Nairobi in order to give birth. Due to this many women are also dying which did not sit in well with me because one day I might find myself at this stage and if no action is taken now then none will be taken in the future.

What it does

The clinics that I would like to open would be open to all women not accounting for wealth or any other factor. These clinics will help women go through the processes of childbirth easily and be able to deliver their baby without travelling.

How we built it

How I aspire to get the finance for my project is by approaching private organizations such as Toslen Tools, DeWalt, Black and Decker and Stanley using Corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge that I would face would be getting the right location in the rural areas where I can provide services to as many women as possible.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that I have the connections that can lead me to partner with these different private organizations.

What we learned

I learnt about sustainable and inclusive use of finance the different types of checkups that women would require during child birth and the different equipment needed.

What's next for Healthy mama happy baby

I would like to open clinics in other Third world countries such as Syria and Somalia where I can also reach out to other women around the world
