Inspiration: We drew from Wordle, BeReal, and Pokemon GO
What it does: Healthy Habit Bingo is a bingo games centered around a randomized set of healthy action and activities that assist in upkeep of mental and physical health that can be done everyday. It also features a friends board with info on the progress your friends have made in the health journey.
How we built it: For the front end of the game we used ReactJS, CSS, and HTML. For the backend sits we relied solely on JavaScript and used Express CORS to handle requests.
Challenges we ran into: The languages we used were fairly new to all members of the team and learning and implementing these in such a short time frame was very difficult. This as well as overall lack of time together as a team made it difficult to fully set time towards the project
Accomplishments that we're proud of: The items we are most proud of in our project are the proper setup of the game itself, regarding the proper look and the base level of function we were able to achieve.
What we learned: In terms of management of a project and organization a lot of us were fairly shocked at the sheer amount of different languages and dependencies required to create a website. This coupled with learning a bit about Postman and how requests are handled were our main learning points.
What's next for Healthy Habit Bingo: Finalization of accounts and friends list and possible future identification of photos to allow the software to confirm completion of activities through identification software and no longer operate on good faith policy.
