Healthy Diet Application
Inspiration
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), maintaining a healthy diet is crucial for overall well-being. Eating healthy from birth can not only alleviate stomach-related challenges but also contribute to overall human body health. Unfortunately, some rural communities lack access to healthcare professionals. AI presents a potential solution, but some Large Language Models (LLMs) may not currently support up-to-date data. To address this, we propose creating a forum where individuals can share genuine facts about dietary recommendations for healing or preventing ulcers and receive compensation for their contributions.
What it does
Healthy Diet is a subscription-based health application that utilizes convex data storage, clerk authentication, and Gemini Pro and Gemini Pro Vision to assist ulcer patients in quick recovery or prevention by providing accurate dietary recommendations. Users can interact with the application via text or image inputs. Health professionals are compensated for their contributions to the forum, which are verified through user testimonials. Thus, the forum not only disseminates information on stomach healing but also showcases testimonies from individuals who have benefited from these recommendations. Patients are charged a nominal monthly fee of $5 to sustain the business and revenue stream, with a portion of this fee used to compensate health professionals for high-quality content through Square payments.
How we built it
We utilized Convex for storing user data and managing user ID login details and platform usernames. Gemini AI was integrated to interact with the healthy diet prescription system. Next.js was chosen for application development, and Vercel was used for hosting. Square Payment Provider was employed to handle financial transactions. Furthermore, imgbb was used for image hosting and altexsoft was used for our business model canvasw

We encountered challenges related to hosting initially but were able to resolve them with the assistance of others.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully developed an application that users can rely on to receive recommendations for a healthy diet tailored to ulcer patients or individuals with stomach-related issues.
What we learned
We gained insights into JavaScript modules such as Next.js, Clerk components, and Convex components, as well as their practical applications.
What's next for Healthy Diet
Our future plans involve expanding the platform into a social media application where users can share pictures of their meals and engage in voice communication with our AI bot.
