Inspiration

There are many people in rural areas who can't afford medical treatment. Due to the pandemic, many rural people in India, Brazil and USA are not getting proper medical treatment. Community workers are not able to handle real time monitoring of the overcrowded rural population. There are many common diseases in the rural area such as chronic kidney disease, coronary artery disease, and cataract.These common diseases are preventable, but due to the lack of monitoring, many people are dying. There is a need for a technology platform to help fill this gap that has been created.

What it does

HealthX is a platform which helps monitor rural people in USA, Brazil, and India via app/web platform with the help of community workers in India, Brazil and USA.

How we built it

We prepared the web platform and UI/UX design of the app. For the web platform, we used HTML and CSS for the frontend and firebase for backend. We used Google Cloud for locating nearby hospitals, tracking ambulance, and the AI chatbot using Dialogflow. Additionally, we used Firebase to create user authentication, a realtime database, and to store information. We used GitHub to host our website publicly and for file management.

Challenges we ran into

There were many challenges we ran into, but that's what programming's all about. One challenge, we had to go through various idea changes in order to consider real time monitoring for rural people. Another challenge we ran into was the challenge of using Firebase, since it was our first time using it.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud of so many things. We made use of this project to the best of our abilities in the allotted time.We successfully created UI/UX design of app and the web part. Additionally, we combined all of our skills to create a website that use multiple frameworks and we are proud of this website. We love the UI/UX and we love the Backend, it was our first time as well using these frameworks. Finally, we are proud of the amount of work we pulled off. We would have never thought we could accomplish this much in such a small amount of time.
