By connecting users with healthcare professionals, healthTHREADS helps users avoid the dangers of self-diagnosis, offering them a safe and reliable way to make informed health decisions.

What it does

healthTHREADS is a digital health platform designed to facilitate communication between doctors and patients. It offers 24/7 support, enabling patients to access care whenever needed. The platform focuses on providing personalized care by ensuring seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers. Additionally, healthTHREADS allows doctor-to-doctor communication, assisting healthcare professionals in collaborating and sharing knowledge. By offering a space for patients to discuss their health concerns with certified healthcare professionals through community posts, healthTHREADS aims to bridge the gap between patients and providers, ensuring accurate information and support.

How we built it

We developed healthTHREADS using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create an interactive and user-friendly platform. HTML provided the structure, CSS handled the styling, and JavaScript enabled dynamic interactions.

Challenges we ran into

Translating our ideas into functional code was challenging due to the complexity of our concepts and the need to ensure they were accurately represented. This process required careful planning and problem-solving to bridge the gap between our initial vision and the final product. Additionally, collaborating as a team to combine our ideas and perspectives made it a little more difficult. this demanded effective communication and coordination between us.

We are proud to have developed a functional website that facilitates interaction between patients and healthcare professionals. This accomplishment was achieved within a short timeframe and in response to the challenge question, demonstrating our team's dedication and technical proficiency.

What we learned

Developing healthTHREADS taught us how to build a healthcare communication platform using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. We focused on understanding user needs to create an intuitive interface and implemented real-time communication features with attention to user experience and data security. Effective teamwork was crucial in integrating our ideas into a functional website. This project enhanced our technical skills and deepened our understanding of the challenges in creating digital healthcare solutions.

What's next for healthTHREADS

We are integrating a CareBot, an AI powered helper designed to improve patient support and enhance caregiving. CareBot provides personalized assistance by answering health-related questions, offering medical resources, and guiding users through functions of the website. It will give easier access to find relevant discussions, access expert advice, and connect with the right professionals. The addition of the CareBot will be a significant step for healthThreads to become smarter, more responsive and user friendly.
