Inspiration
The Covid-19 Pandemic emerged as an eye opener for us. Life became all about maintaining hefty body checkup diaries with a thousand pages or so. Suddenly, vaccination schedules became a thing of the past. As time grew, it became clearer and clearer that there was an urgent need to move our infrastructure online. Necessity is the mother of invention! Hence it inspired us to create this WONDERFUL Virtual Health Assistant, Health Plus!
What it does
Our app is an all-in-one virtual health assistant. It contains mainly four features:
Dashboard: In this section, you can get your recent health reports, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels (SpO2 concentration) etc. in the form of various graphs and UI-enhanced data. In this way, you can view various health parameters.
Vaccination Scheduler: Our app includes all of the major vaccines available for children as well as adults, as recommended by CDC. You can check the vaccine shots you have undertaken and add reminders for those to come without the need of any physical vaccination cards.
Medicinal Scheduler: This functionality helps the user to schedule and remind him of taking medicines on time throughout the week. We also have a large database of medicinal salts, which you can order directly. We also show cheap but equivalent alternatives to expensive brand names of generic salts, which reduces the net cost per capita. In case, you are out of stock of medicines, you can also order them through our app (requires a prescription).
You can directly connect with your family doctor through our web app (don't worry, we value your privacy) who can give you an e-Prescription which you can use to order medicines. The doctor can also view your health reports to analyze your health conditions, and henceforth suggest you measures.
You can also track Covid-19 cases in the world through our App courtesy of Bing, and can even apply for vaccination of the same.
So, in a nutshell, our app completely removes your need to even step out of your doorstep for your medical requirements.
How we built it
The Website was built using Flutter SDK as the front end, Dart as the backend and Firebase helped us with the database and user authentication. We also Embedded Bing Covid Tracker to provide the Covid-19 map functionality.
Challenges we ran into
Organizing various things together and building our most complex web app yet. Of course we had stack overflow and GitHub at our disposal in our moments of demotivation. And of course, last hour overwhelms!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Submitting our project on time since it was HUGE! And making a comparatively good video without any hassle.

What's next for HealthPlus - A Powerful Virtual Health Assistant
This is not a project we'll be ending in a short span of time. We want it to become a long term solution for the masses. This would be our small contribution towards building a virtual global co-operative medical infrastructure. We also hope to add more functionality in the web app including e-prescriptions and more authentic encryption.
