Inspiration
- Doctors spend almost 6 hours/day using their EHRs; 4.5 hours while with patients, about 1.5 hours after work hours. Our near relatives and people we know passed away because of wrong administration of medicine because of lack of emergency/medical history. We are trying to solve this problem globally to prevent potential risk of lives.
What it does
- One stop solution for your emergency health data
- Globally accessible
- Providing encrypted key to access data via authorisation
- An app, a software to be accessed by the patient and the doctor and has a view of immediate emergency data such as pharmacy bills, allergies, vitals etc
- Digitalised to keep a standardised format of emergency health information
How we built it
- RFID cards
- Using encryption/ Decryption to protect privacy
- Backed up into firebase if needed
Challenges we ran into
- Building the code from scratch where we tried using MATLAB to make it easy to integrate with existing healthcare portals such as EPIC
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Removing social, political rules and regulation to make it HIPAA compliant
- Making sure our model is easily integrated into existing healthcare systems by using MATLAB which reducing training time
- Easy accessible
- Seamless transfer of emergency health information reducing ER patient care time
- The key health information is kept up to date, accurate and handy
What's next for Healthomatic
- Making it an advanced one stop solution for easy medical history access without the need for maintaining a single metadata base
- Easy globalisation of EHR data transmission
- Creating various forms/ designs of data carrier
