Inspiration
The inspiration came to me from, when I was looking ideas on what to create, I realised that what if I create an application that contains multiple things that can be used inside a single application.
What it does
The following application has a login page for security reason. After signup and signing, the person has to enter certain details asked by the application. Then this application helps keeps you updated by providing you the latest news on medical news. Along with this, this application tracks your location and provides you with the hospitals that are nearby to you. The application also lets you call or message important contacts like ambulance and police for emergency.
How we built it
I used Kotlin as frontend language and for backend, I used Firebase as database storage. I included libraries like tracking your location.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating the libraries and using their current versions were challenging, however with the proper guidance and support, we were able to make the application.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
After many challenges and many decisions, we came to a conclusion and made changes and after many trial and error, when the application was finally running, we were really happy and excited.
What we learned
We learned how to integrate api and libraries and how to work better in frontend.
What's next for HealthLink Plus
We now want to include the application with Artificial Intelligence, where we can include Chatbot, that can clear doubt related to medical issues.
