It was 12pm, we were in a call. The four of us. Just sitting there, researching and finding ideas to take out. However, every idea we suggested was quickly rejected. The flaws, the variables and the logic. It did not fit at all. Until… our faces brightened up instantly when Si Hyun’s idea came into the picture. She remembered and article she read talking about misidentified patients and preventable health issues. Acting as a spring board, she continued. Health Key, she said it was. Basically an app where users can input medical and personal information so that hospitals can quickly access information in emergency situations. It was perfect. It fit the theme, it helped people; we were all onboard. This is why our team, FF of YJSR, felt motivated to resolve this.
We started off by dividing the work. And then it started. We started developing the app, the pitch deck, the video and the 3D models and sketches. Si Hyun and Yuki developed the app, the pitch deck mainly by Reiko (and everyone), the video by Si Hyun and the 3D model and sketches by Jaja. The app developing was hard. Only Yuki had experience in app development, however we quickly overcame the hurdle by founding an app that didn’t need coding to develop an app. The pitch deck was hard too. Reiko had to research and gather information to put in the slides, while communicating with all of us. Video? Barely any editing experience. We had to find tutorial videos on how to use editing softwares. And the 3D models and sketches were not easy at all. Ideas, practicality and design; they were all key factors to consider. The app had bugs, the slides needed information, video needed recordings and the 3D models had to be measured to the perfect size.
Throughout our time working together, we have found the importance of relying on one another and communicating well. We built this project by doing our individual parts the combining it to gain the our great, final outcome. From problems online to problems about workload, we pushed through together and was able to come out successfully. We overcame it all and here we are right now, submitting our work. We are so glad to be here, joining the competition and I hope you view our work well.
