Inspiration to PharmNet

After seeing the effect of the pandemic on the public, we decided to develop a web app to increase accessibility of healthcare. As patient-doctor interactions decreased by a large margin, our program helps to maintain these interactions.

Purpose of PharmNet

Our telemedicine web application, PharmNet, sets up a user with medical professionals who are specialists in what the patient is seeking. Then, a video call is set up between the patient and doctor in order to try to resolve this.

How did we build it?

We built this web application through many different softwares. For our frontend development, we used vue.js and tailwindcss. For our backend development, we used Express and MongoDB.

Challenges we encountered

A challenge that we faced during the development of our web program was fixing the loading data error that kept occurring because of socket.io.

Accomplishments

The accomplishments we are proud of our how our product came out in the end, with working functionality. We are proud of the finished product and the design of it.

What did you learn?

In the end, we learned that making a web application takes time. In addition to this, there are going to be many problems that will be faced during development and the only way to get over this is through determination to solve them.

In the future, HealthFirst is trying to expand our web application to reach a wider audience to assist those who are facing healthcare problems.
