Inspiration
COVID-19 was the inspiration for this project. We saw the judging criteria for "Best COVID-19" and decided to go for that prize. Our brainstorming was based on that.
What it does
The project shows if you have COVID-19 by checking to see if you have any symptoms of it. It will show information about your symptoms. It also can tell if you have a fever based on your temperature, and gives safety tips.
How we built it
We started with just the symptom checker and then later on added the temperature checker and safety tips.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge we ran into was that we were slow with the code. Except for Edison, we all did not know a whole lot of javascript/html/css. This process was a learning experience for most of us.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The thing we are all proud of is the description table/column. It took us a long time to get the descriptions table to look nice because the css was not working. So we switched to columns and it looked better. Another accomplishment for most of us is that this was the first big project we have ever done without outside help.
What we learned
Edison taught the other members of the group the basics of CSS. We got to learn how to work when given a strict time schedule, and learned to work together as a team. We wrote all the code for this project today.
