Inspiration

The inspiration for HealthConnectAI came from witnessing the healthcare challenges in Eastern African countries like Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi Kenya and other countries. We wanted to create a solution that leverages technology to bridge these gaps and improve health outcomes.

What it does

HealthConnectAI integrates AI which provide personalized healthcare services. It offers features like symptom checking, appointment scheduling, medication reminders, and virtual consultations, all while ensuring data security and privacy.

How we built it

We developed HealthConnectAI using a combination of AI algorithms, secure Digital ID integration, and user-friendly interfaces. Collaborating with local healthcare providers, we designed features that cater to the specific needs of Eastern African communities.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was ensuring data privacy while integrating Digital ID systems. We also faced technical hurdles in creating an AI that could provide accurate health advice tailored to diverse culture also integrating it to our platform was a challenge because none of us have done it before but because of teamwork we made it together.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating a platform that can significantly improve healthcare access and outcomes. Successfully integrating AI with Digital ID for personalized healthcare is a major achievement.

What we learned

We learned the importance of understanding local healthcare needs and the value of collaboration with team and local experts as well. This project enhanced our knowledge of AI's role in healthcare and data security.

What's next for HealthConnectAI

Moving forward, we plan to expand HealthConnectAI's features and reach, scaling across more regions. We aim to continuously improve the platform by incorporating user feedback and advancing our AI capabilities also we will make user to have accessibility to some of the features while offline.
