Inspiration

Doctors always advice that we should not google our health symptoms, but at some point this is inevitable. In the era of ubiquitous digital devices and AI, people will tend to digital platform for health information. So I thought of developing an Q&A platform for users get access good information from verified doctors.

What it does

My application is a health social media platform that help user get reliable health information, ask questions about their health anonymously, get answers and book consultations with certified medical professionals across diverse health areas.

How we built it

I used bolt.new to build the application to implement the question and answers aspect of the application. Users can signup and ask question about their health. Questions can be upvoted by other users. Doctors can register and answer questions from users

Challenges we ran into

The challenges I run into was the limited amount of tokens. The other challenge I also faced was how to connect my app to the free domain by entri and inono. My country Ghana, was not part of the drop down list and also the phone number section was not able to take my phone because the form validation indicated there were unacceptable characters in the phone number when there was not. At the last part, my application was not able to get answers from the backend, because my tokens finished, I am not able to solve that problem. In fact I discovered this after the 20,000,000 tokens for the weekend was expired.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am very proud of the outcome of the application. This has laid a very good foundation for the business idea behind this project. I am not very experience with web development, especially with JavaScript environment. I wish I can continue to use bolt.new to improve the application because of the rapid prototyping nature of bolt.new.

What we learned

I have learnt a very important aspect of AI assisted app development with rapid prototyping of ideas.

What's next for HealthConnect

I wish to continue developing the application either on bolt.new or outside. I want to eventually add the capability of AI agents to be able to give fast information with users. I also want to add the private consultation and medical review section. I will also add the testing with certified testing centers.
