Inspiration
Navigating healthcare is overwhelming, especially in stressful situations when insurance and hospital options aren’t clear. We were inspired to build a personalized AI assistant that makes healthcare access simple, fast, and tailored to each user.
What it does
HealthConnect AI allows users to upload their insurance card, then the personalized assistant processes their details and finds the nearest hospitals that accept their coverage based on their exact location. The assistant guides users step by step, making the experience feel intuitive and supportive.
How we built it
We used a combination of computer vision and OCR to process insurance card images, integrated geolocation APIs to find nearby hospitals, and built a responsive frontend with EJS/Bootstrap connected to a Node.js backend.
