Inspiration
With 80% of organs wasted in the organ transplant process, we wanted to provide a solution that would increase the efficiency of donor and transplant patient spread of information while keeping sensitive healthcare data fully private and HIPAA and FDA compliant while being publicly accessible so all information is easy to find, efficient in real time communication, and can be reliably checked and confirmed by everybody.
What it does
Utilizes blockchain to fully encrypt patient data through the use of public and private keys, updating it in real time to provide the fastest and most accurate solution to new donors and new waitlist patients for organ transplantation procurement and surgeries.
How we built it
Using html we built the basic framework of the website, CSS was then used to incorporate stylistic additions. Python was utilized to control encryption and decryption through RSA to read the files. Finally, we used Flask app, an API of Python, to allows us to build up web applications.
Challenges we ran into
Being first time web developers and hackers, we struggled a bit with the front end logistics concerning the stylization and manipulation of the web page. Although, through collaboration and the utilization of the workshops offered, we were able to navigate through our hardships.
