Inspiration

As communities around the world come together in response to COVID-19, the developer community is playing an active and important role in relief efforts. We’ve seen an inspiring response from developers looking to build crisis response apps and sites to help keep their users and the public informed and healthy.

What it does

This is an integrated information application system for managing all aspects of a hospital’s operations such as medical, financial, administrative, legal, and compliance.Hospitals and healthcare facilities improve the quality of healthcare services, reduce operating costs, and improve the revenue cycle by using such hospital management systems. Hospital Management System typically includes Outpatient and Inpatient Management, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Inventory, claim, Mobile Apps, Tablet Versions, Online Scheduling, Secured Messaging, Doctor and Patient Portals, Accounting, HR/Payroll, Blood Bank, Mortuary, Alert Software, Dietary, Feedback, Lab Machines, and Biometric Integration, HL7/Integrated PACS, and Business Intelligence.

How we built it

Since, Healthcare management application is a prototype application. There are lot of features and technologies which are to be added. We built this application using Android Studio, Java and XML for backend development, Adobe Photoshop for image editing and UI.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges we ran into is that as an individual we have a limited cloud storage for the data storage and user authentication. Information retrieval and real-time data visualization for the patients were a big challenge to face.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The problem of the data retrieval and real-time data was solved by framework Picassa and we are really proud of it.

What we learned

I gained confidence, inspiration, motivation, friends, a larger network, and mentors. I learned how to work on opensource, different APIs, how to push myself on little sleep, how to learn, how to look things up, and how to demo and even sell a project. It involved a lot of learning, growth, and struggle. I learned things that weren't taught in college life.

What's next for Healthcare Management Application

Since it is a prototype. The aim is to modify the app to the fullest as said in the Youtube video.
