Inspiration

We all are living in very difficult pandemic times which require all of us to take Extra precautions and make quite a few adjustments to our daily lives. Fully vaccinated, wearing protections like face masks, gloves, practicing use of hand sanitizers and maintaining 6 ft physical distances are new norms. We are also often asked to avoid unnecessary travel and work remote as much as possible. Being a healthcare worker myself, I find it very inconvenient for my patients. So, We developed an app, using Flutter, Firebase, React and Loom SDK, which helps connect my patients to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lab pathology workers and even specialist.

What it does

This community healthcare management app (HMS hospital management app) built in Flutter Firebase App for iOS, Android, Web & Desktop. Complete Healthcare Hospital Management (Patient, OPD, IPD, Rx, Lab) in Flutter Firebase App for iOS, Android, Web & Desktop. This project is a community version and is absolutely free for private use. This app provide an effective way of communicating through video messages, these short video messages are extremely convenient, secured and effective. It helps reduce travel costs, time gaps & a;; unnecessary human interactions.

Challenges we ran into

Type Script LOOM SDK developers instructions are not working, so my team decided to go with REACT.js instead of Angular or Type Script. Saving and securing LOOM URLs for patient data security to be HIPPA complaint was challenging.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It gives me joy to share this kind of app with community which contributes to a great cause. My GitHub repository already received 16 stars and 100+ downloads, Thanks to LOOM.

What we learned

I didn't think of video messages can be that powerful. Video messages communications can be extremely effective in all of business processes.

What's next for Healthcare Management App in Flutter Firebase & LOOM

Most of video cams now a days provide an alert mechanism which are triggered based on scene changes. I will be working on AI NLP/Object Detection ML model, which takes these videos and/or Alert screen shots and can further classify these Alerts to THREATENING or NON-THREATENING labels.

Such AI/ML models are extremely useful where continuous monitoring is needed such as, healthcare, automotive, locomotive rail road crossings, cattle fields, farm fields etc.
