Inspiration

The lack of readily available and easily accessible sanitary pads in rural India presents a solvable issue that does not receive as much attention as it is due. With Alleviate we aim to do all we can to help make the world a better place for everyone in it in any way we can.

What it does

Alleviate is a desktop/mobile app designed to cater to those in areas where sanitary pads are difficult to come by, making the process more efficient and accessible all while educating and empowering women on health and hygiene.

How we built it

We developed our idea using a power point presentation to outline the parts of our project, elaborating on aspects as we went.

Challenges we ran into

Initially it was difficult to think of a solid idea for software that could help solve this problem.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our idea and believe in its potential to benefit women around the world.

What we learned

Through the process of brainstorming Alleviate we learned more about the scarcity of sanitary pads in rural India and the large issue it poses.

What's next for Alleviate

We would love to take the next step in our roadmap and begin development on Alleviate.
