Health Transportation

Inspiration

We were inspired by our experiences of travelling to different and unfamiliar locations. In all honesty, it’s terrifying to run the risk of getting injured while exploring new areas; you don’t know where to go if you get hurt or when shops with medicine and materials will close.

What it does

Our app locates the closest drug stores, medical centers, clinics and hospitals in relation to where you are. It also differentiates the hospitals from the other locations as they are for more important and severe cases.

How we built it

We built the app using Figma and by following a youtube video. We couldn’t follow or use anything more complex as this was our first Hackathon.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble managing the components that pop up when you click on the ellipses as they were all layered.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to come up with a final product for this hackathon. There was a lot of confusion at first, but in the end we were able to pull through.

What we learned

We learned how to navigate the platform, Figma and what an online Hackathon is like.

What's next for Health Transportation

We plan on developing the app so that you can filter the locations you are exposed to based on the medical issues and symptoms you experience. By doing this, the app will display the clinics or hospitals that are best suited for your care.
