The current health problem of people of not being active due to online learning and online work inspired us to create this app.

What it does

The app gives you a list of exercises which you can do at different intensities to stay active. The app also allows you to calculate the net calories for the day by calculating how much calorie intake you had and how much you burned.

How we built it

The app was built using Java language in Android Studio. Some other software's like Eclipse were used to check the functionality of some partial code in the app.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges we ran into were when we tried to design different utilities (like buttons), the challenge was that none of us are really experienced in the design field. Also, another challenge we faced was when we tried to add together the code done by different members into out final project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Accomplishments we are proud of is that we made a fully functional app in this short amount of time. This a huge accomplishment for us because we are beginners in the app developing field and this our first hackathon.

What we learned

The main concept we learned during this hackathon is that team cooperation is really important. Without teamwork, it would have taken us much more time to write this app individually.

What's next for Health Track - Calorie Cutter

There are many more ideas we had in our team which we can implement into our app. One of the ideas was creating an award system, like in video games, to stimulate people being active and staying on the app. Another improvement which we need to do to the app is increasing the list of exercise.
