Inspiration
We wanted to make a game for the health prize and something for kids.
What it does
It lets kids track sleep, water, and exercise then play a game when they're done.
How we built it
We used Scratch.
Challenges we ran into
I (Dela) usually make games and my partner (Zayda) usually makes websites so it was out of our comfort zones for both of us. Bugs were challenging to work through and making the app user-friendly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Zayda is proud of making her the most complicated game. We're proud that our idea is this fleshed out in the time frame we had.
What we learned
Zayda learned how to make scores and timers and other game functions. Dela understands variables more now.
What's next for Health Track
We would like to make it an actual app. We would like for it to be more customizable (custom habits, avatars, etc.). We would like to add more games and maybe even make a story-based version for adults or older kids.
