Inspiration Initially
We chose the medical field as the main theme for the app. Mariam-the UX designer – started with herself and asked “What do I suffer from a medical perspective?". Immediately she remembered that she gets an allergic reaction from some cosmetic products, Thus the idea came to make an app for allergic patients and other widespread chronic diseases.
What it does
We work to help patients who suffer from various allergies, diabetes, and also patients with osteoporosis:
*Choose suitable products and recipes that suit their health condition and their alternatives.
*There is also a part related to following up on their health status through medical analysis.
*It will let the patients have a safe shopping experience with an app that is simple & effortlessly to use.
*We offer the patients promo codes and suggestions to laboratories and doctors near them.
How I built it
We offered a lot of solutions like: *Quick and easy scan giving the needed details about the product, which lets them shop safely. If the product is not suitable for their health condition, the application displays an alternative product.
*Offering healthy cooking recipes that suit the patient's health condition.
*A reminder that notifies the user to take their medicine and if it is about to run out.
*Increasing community awareness of different diseases and how to help them have an easier and better life.
*Offering the patient promo codes to laboratories and doctors near them.
*A disease detector to help people stay healthy and warn them if there is any chance to get affected.
Challenges I ran into
The challenges that we faced were caused by the lack of time for the competition, which made us do our best to finish it perfectly before the deadline for submitting it
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The achievement that we are proud of is reaching the final in the Uber global hackathon after competing with more than 1800 participants. Our application was unique, which brought it to the final
What I learned
What we learned during the implementation of this application had more to do with the medical aspect, as we were following professors from different universities talking about chronic diseases in particular.
What's next for Health tailor
*Optimizing the use of medical information collected by consulting medical experts and AI engineers to add additional value to the existing prototype.
*Contracting with laboratories and doctors to feature promotional codes, as well as contracting with restaurants and factories that provide suitable foods and products for patients.
*Adding a QR code for each user to be scanned in the contracted laboratories so that when the results appear, the medical analysis part on the user's personal page will be updated.
*Develop the mobile App and our backend to control the system.
*Pre-launch the mobile app for a group of target customers for alpha testing.
