We developed a program designed for patients with disabilities, enabling them to contact medical staff. The program operates by interpreting subtle hand gestures made by patients, triggering notifications on an interface accessible to the medical staff. Through this interface, staff members can request assistance or indicate that specific notifications do not require additional support. To facilitate communication, the program leverages the Twilio API for text-based communication with support staff, Leap Motion API for hand gesture recognition, and Java Swing for the user interface.
